A bomb scare in Lehman Hall yesterday prompted a thorough search of the building by University police and the Cambridge Fire Department.

Although they did not find a bomb, the police notified the occupants of the threat and told them they remained in the building at their own risk, Capt. Jack W. Morse of the University police said yesterday.

An anonymous caller told a University switchboard operator at 3:40 p.m. yesterday that there was an explosive devise hidden somewhere in the building.
