The Committee on Undergraduate Education (CUE) will poll students next week to measure the effectiveness of non-binding pre-registration as a method of preventing course overcrowding.
CUE will ask students which courses they plan to take next semester, and compare the responses with the courses that students actually take. The poll will also ask students to list reasons for which they might change their plans.
Action
CUE is conducting the poll to see if the University can prevent course over-crowding that results from more students registering for a course than the University expects.
