NORTON LECTURE

J. Frank Kermode, a prominent literary critic on leave from Cambridge University, will deliver the first talk in this year's Norton lecture series this afternoon.

Kermode, whose series will deal with the senses of narrative, will speak on "Carnal and Spiritual Senses" at 4 p.m. in Emerson 105.

This lecture and the five succedding Monday afternoon talks are free and open to the public.
