Lowell Disturbance

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University police arrested a man for kicking in five windows in the courtyard of Lowell House Monday evening and have charged him with malicious destruction of personal property, disturbing the peace and trespassing, a police spokesman said yesterday.

Lawrence J. Murphy, head of the Criminal Investigations Division, said he man arrested is in no way affiliated with Harvard.

"We're not really sure why he was on campus," Murphy said, adding that the man accosted the arresting policeman and has not been very cooperative.

The police department would not disclose the man's name.
