Robert H. Evert, dean of Harvard Medical School, who retires this year, will take charge of the Milbank Memorial Fund in January, 1978.

The selection of Ebert as president of the fund was announced last month by Samuel R. Milbank, chairman of the firm's board of directors.

Ebert has worked previously for the Fund, which takes on problems in public health, preventive medicine and the management of health services. He has served on the Fund's Technical Board for 10 years.
