George Hughes, Harvard's sophomore center from Somerville, Mass., was named Ivy League Hockey Player of the Week after leading the Crimson to crucial victories over Brown on January 8 and Dartmouth on January 13.

Hughes scored twice and assisted on the winner in the televised 4-3 victory over Brown at Watson Rink. Five days later in Hanover he notched a goal and assist in the 3-2 chopping of the Woodsmen.
