The 13 Lucius W. Nieman Fellows for 1976-77 will be: Robert J. Azzi, photojournalist with Magnum, Incorporated; Tony Castro Jr., a reporter for The Houston Post; Rodney W. Decker, a columnist and editorial writer for The Deseret News, Salt Lake City, Utah; Melvin M.S. Goo, editorial writer for the Honolulu Advertiser; Kathryn Johnson, news reporter for the Associated Press in Atlanta.

Dolores J. Katz, medical reporter for the Detroit Free Press; Alfred S. Larkin Jr., assistant metropolitan editor for The Boston Globe; John E. Painter Jr., staff writer for The Oregonian, Portland, Ore.; Barbara A. Reynolds, urban affairs writer for the Chicago Tribune; and Paul Solman, associate editor and reporter for The Real Paper have also been chosen.

Cassandra Tate, reporter for the Lewiston, Idaho, Morning Tribune; William O. Wheatley Jr., national assignment editor for NBC News in New York; and Jack E. White Jr., Atlanta correspondent for Time-Life News Service have also been chosen.

Announcements of the appointment of associate Nieman Fellows from abroad will be made later this summer.
