NYT Journalist Maggie Haberman Weighs In on Trump’s White House, Democratic Strategy at Harvard Talk
Daniel P. Moynihan, professor of Government, campaigned yesterday in the New York cities of Binghamton, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo on behalf of presidential hopeful Senator Henry M. Jackson (D-Wash.).
Although local politicians urged him to run for the Democratic senatorial nomination, Moynihan declined to comment on his own political future and spoke exclusively about Jackson.
The New York Times reported Monday that friends of Moynihan said he will decide whether to run for the Democratic nomination after this week's primary.
He will announce that decision later this month, the sources added.
Should he receive the Democratic nomination, Moynihan's probable opponent would be incumbent Senator Jacob Javits (R-N.Y.).
