I see that the Faculty is discussing opening up a new ROTC option for Harvard students.
At the time we voted closing off ROTC at Harvard I took great interest in the discussion, and learned all I could about it. After it was over I threw out a thick folder of documents. So I don't have them at hand.
They contained one big surprised that may help to clarify the present discussion.
If I remember rightly--and I think I do--at the time ROTC at Harvard came under fire, exceedingly few Harvard undergraduates were in the program. Something like 90 per cent of the persons enrolled were law students heading for the Adjutant General's Office. George Wald, University Professor
