NYT Journalist Maggie Haberman Weighs In on Trump’s White House, Democratic Strategy at Harvard Talk
The future of a planned women's club at Harvard is now in question because of the apparent failure of a fundraising dance to make a profit, Susan Sturdy '77, one of the dance's sponsors, said yesterday.
"The Rites of Spring," held Saturday night at the Signet Society, was intended to raise funds for the organization, although the invitations for the dance did not identify it as such.
Although they had not yet figured out exactly how much money the dance raised, Sturdy said yesterday, "None of us have time anymore this year, and we have no funds. We'll have to wait until next fall and talk about it then."
Christina M. Landry '77, another of the dance's sponsors, said yesterday she did not see any reason why the invitation needed to say where the dance's proceeds were going, and said that it was not a secret anyway.
