A sign on the Afro-American Studies Department building was stolen over the weekend.

The sign has been stolen several times before, Jethro R. Hawkins, administrative assistant for the department, said yesterday.

Hawkins also said that vandals threw a rock through the second floor window of his office in the building last January.

"Our sign isn't here, but the department still is," Hawkins said.
