Pavlovich Postponed

By Vivian Cheng

U.S. Magistrate Peter M. Princi Wednesday granted a motion from the U.S. District Attorney's office in Boston to postpone the pre-trial hearing of Spiro M. Pavlovich II scheduled for Wednesday.

Pavlovich, who Harvard officials allege is enrolled in the joint Law-Business program at Harvard under the name Jason S. Cord, face criminal charges of willfully misrepresenting his identity in securing federally-insured loans and in gaining admission to the program.

U.S. District Attorney Henry Hammond requested Tuesday that Pavlovich's probably cause of hearing be delayed until December 23 because a member of his staff was busy with another case yesterday afternoon.

Cord, who was released last week on $10,000 bail, could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
