Harvard golf captain Alex Vik completed the second round of play in the 72-hole World Amateur golf tournament yesterday. Vik is competing against the leading four amateurs from 60 nations over the grueling 7,500 yard Penina golf course in Portimao, Portugal.

The reigning Ivy League champion, Vik qualified for the World Amateur by winning the Norwegian Amateur this summer. He is a native of the Canary Islands.
