Negotiations should start within the next two weeks on a new contract for the Harvard Police. Lawrence Letteri, head of the Harvard Patrolmen's Association, said this week one of his contract proposals will be that the force hire 12 new foot patrolmen because, he said, it is now understaffed. Letteri would not say what wages he will ask for.
