Pusey Opening Delayed

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The new Nathan M. Pusey Library will not open until the second semester of the 1975-76 school year, even though construction is expected to be completed "early next fall," Louis E. Martin, librarian of Harvard College, said yesterday.

The library staff will be using the intervening months to move books and maps from Houghton and Widener Libraries into the new facility, Martin said.

Robert E. Kaufmann '62, assistant dean of the Faculty for financial affairs, said yesterday that the delay in opening would save the University "anywhere from $50,000 to $80,000" in salaries and heating costs.
