TENNIS: Columbia continues to hold dominance in the Eastern Intercollegiate Tennis League after disposing of Dartmouth and Harvard last weekend to run the Lions' record to 4-0. Following Columbia, Princeton and Navy--who face each other Saturday--are 2-0 while Army also sports a perfect slate at 1-0.
Penn stands at 3-1, Harvard at 1-1, and the rest of the league has gone winless. Cornell lost its only match to Army, Dartmouth is 0-2 and Yale and Brown are 0-4.
Today's schedule has Yale here at Soldiers Field at 2 p.m., Army at Columbia, Brown at Dartmouth and Cornell at Penn.
SKIING: The 41st running of one of the most unique ski races in the United States, the Harvard-Dartmouth Slalom, will take place in Tuckerman's Ravine on New Hampshire's Mount Washington Saturday at 11 a.m.
"The informal race, this year hosted by Harvard, is open to ski team members, undergraduates, alumni and members of the Harvard and Dartmouth Outing clubs.
LACROSSE: Harvard has been rated number five in this week's New England coaches lacrosse poll. Brown stands at the top, followed by UMass, Yale and UConn. Rounding out the top ten are Wesleyan, UNH, B.C., Williams and Bowdoin.
The Crimson squad takes on the Eagles today under the lights at Boston College. Game time is at 7:30 p.m.
BASEBALL: Princeton's Mark Softy has been named the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League's (EIBL) Player of the Week after hurling a no-hitter against Brown last weekend. Softy struck out nine Bruins and scattered four walks as the Tigers bombed the hapless Bruins,-14-0.
