Edo Marion will continue his 23-year reign as the Crimson fencing coach but will retire at the end of the year from his job of engineer with the Buildings and Ground Department.

Robert B. Watson '37, Director of Athletics, said yesterday that he will ask for special permission for Marion to continue as fencing coach. "The Personnel Department will hopefully let us recall him from retirement just to coach fencing," Watson said.

Marion has accumulated a 167-117 record over the past 23 years. This year's squad posted a 8-5 overall record and 1-5 in the lives, the only victory coming in the last dual meet against Yale. Last year's team tied for first in the Ivies.
