WHRB Birthday

By Steven Schorr

WHRB, Harvard's FM radio station, marked its 35th anniversary last night with a reception and dinner for its returning alumni and an evening of special programming for its audience.

A brief reception was held at the station's broadcasting studio, followed by a dinner at the Faculty Club for over 100 guests.

The special programming included an hour-long segment on the 35-year history of the station and taped excerpts of broadcasting highlights during those years.

Gregg A. Demar '76, president of WHRB, said yesterday that WHRB has changed over the years from a station broadcasting only to the Harvard community to an FM station serving the greater Boston area. "We can only hope for continued success in the future," Demar said.
