I did not, as McClelland asserts, tell McClelland that I was opposed to publishing the results of his study. In fact, the results were published in The Crimson twice, once by myself and once by a fellow editor. Rather, I asked McClelland in our conversation why this part of the report and none other had been made public and whether or not he considered such revelations damaging to women's positions here. I accurately reported McClelland's answers to these questions.
