Crimson Subvarsity Harriers Destroy Andover in Rout

The Crimson subvarsity harriers traveled to Andover yesterday and came away with a convincing 15-47 victory over an outmanned preppie squad.

Harvard took the first six places in the 2.4 mile race through the Andover sactuary, with Matt Boyer the winner in a time of 12.48.

Three seconds after Boyer crossed the line, Ed Sheehan took second for the Crimson. He was followed by Dave Sullivan and Scott Dalglish in third and fourth place, respectively.

Sweep

Rounding out the Harvard sweep, Dave Atkins and John Rice appeared at the finish line before the first Andover runner.

The fact that the Crimson won the meet with such ease is even more impressive when you consider the fact that Peter Levine, the team's best runner to date, didn't even participate. Levine will be running in the varsity meet against Columbia on Saturday.

With yesterday's win, the squad's record now stands at 5-1, including two unofficial victories in exhibition meets. On Saturday, the harriers oppose Brown at Franklin Park, in search of their fourth official triumph.
