New Radical Union Will Meet Tonight For First Session

By Sydney P. Freedberg

The Harvard Radical Union will hold its first meeting of the academic year tonight to discuss ways to bring a radical perspective to Harvard courses.

Joel Krieger, a second year Government graduate student and a spokesman for the Union, said that at tonight's meeting members of the group will discuss:

* organizing a workshop for graduate students in radical methods of teaching;

* establishing a lecture series emphasizing the radical approach to teaching and learning the social sciences; and

* publishing a regular newsletter that would be distributed among all graduate students.

The members of the Union will also discuss taking a position on the financial aspects of the GSAS admissions policies, David Stark, a second-year Sociology graduate student and member of the Union, said yesterday.

The group will meet at 7:30 p.m. in William James Hall.
