The Faculty Council kept talking about the proposed $130,000 Third World Cultural Center this week, but since the Faculty does not have authority to approve the center, the council probably won't take any formal votes on it.

President Bok said this week that the council is discussing the center because the Faculty would, under the proposal, bear a big chunk of the center's expense.

The discussion on the center is just beginning, but still it seems unlikely that it will get the full requested University appropriation--$130,000, a house, a full-time secretary and a part-time administrator.
