Don't be surprised if President Bok names William R. Hutchinson, Warren Professor of the History of Religion in America, as master of Winthrop House within the next few weeks.

Hutchinson acknowledged this week that he has talked to Bok about the mastership, but refused to comment further; Bok said it would be "terribly inappropriate for me to comment at this time." Hutchinson, an associate of Winthrop House, is at least the fifth person to whom Bok has offered the job, sources said this week.
