The Boston Celtics captured their 12th National Basketball Association crown yesterday, crushing the Milwaukee Bucks, 102-87. Boston Center Dave Cowens led all scorers with 28 points, with John Havlicek and Jo Jo White trailing with 16 points apiece.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar led the Bucks with 26 points, but lost Most Valuable Player honors to Havlicek who averaged 28.2 points per game in the series
