When Frank H. Westheimer, Loeb Professor of Chemistry, found out the Faculty Council had turned down his request for a four-hour exam in Chemistry 20a, "Organic Chemistry," he became upset and wrote the council a letter asking it to reconsider. The council did this week-and decided firmly once again to limit the Chem 20 exam to three hours.
