My season as a part-time mystic concludes with one major upset:
BROWN-COLUMBIA-The Bruins put the cap on a season-ending four game winning streak, establishing themselves as one of next year's prime contenders for the title. Brown has only one senior on that rugged starting defensive squad that smothered Harvard, so we'll see more of the same next season. Brown 24, Columbia 0.
CORNELL-PRINCETON-What should have been a great year for the Big Red ends on a disappointing note, as Princeton's Walt Snickenberger goes out in a blaze of glory. Sigler's passing will keep this one close, but I imagine that the improving Tigers will emerge victorious. Princeton 28, Cornell 21.
DARTMOUTH-PENNSYLVANIA-The last gasp for Penn's great duo of Marty Vaughn and Adolph Bellizeare. Exactly what happened to the Quakers this year may never be known, but they certainly weren't the contender most people thought they would be. A good game, as the pride of both teams is at stake. Penn 24, Dartmouth 21.
HARVARD-YALE-Yale seems to have just about everything going for it, including a devastating offense and the stingiest of defenses. Despite last week's showing, Harvard does have a powerful offense, one that can score against anybody. The Crimson will rise to the emotional challenge of this game, and an 11-game winning streak will become a thing of the past. Harvard 29, Yale 20.
CRIMSON-YALE DAILY-The Crimson is No. 1 in the recently published College Newspaper Football Team Poll, having now won its last 232 encounters in succession. The Daily will be no match for our wish- bonemultiplesetpowerIfullhouse backfield, which has racked up over 53 yards in total offense this year. Crimson 23, Yalie Daily 2.
Last week, due to an unforeseen upset, 3 for 4. On the year, 28 right, 9 wrong, 757.
