Archie C. Epps III, dean of students, has worked out a series of security measures for Claverly Hall that will cost about $9000.

The measures, which came in response to requests by Claverly residents for tighter security after robberies there, include bars on first floor windows, fire locks on back and side doors and a uniformed watch-man eight hours a day.

The watchman costs $3.50 an hour, which works out to about $7500 a year; the window bars will cost $1100, and the extra locks $200 each. The impoverished Faculty of Arts and Sciences will foot the bill.
