Captain Jeannie Guyton scored a personal career high of eight goals to lead the Radcliffe water polo team to its first victory of the season, an 8-2 shellacking of Boston College Monday night.
"Jeannie was terrific," Coach Richard Broad said of his captain's performance. "The whole team was. It was our best effort to date."
Radcliffe was coming off losses of 9-7 and 4-3, inflicted by the Philadelphia Athletic Club and the University of Massachusetts.
But against the Eagles, the entire team played well. Kris Krendl and Maureen Murphy led the squad with two assists, while goalie Laura Garwin maintained a stingy defense stopping 11 Boston College thrusts.
