The Boston Bruins outskated and overpowered the California Seals last night, defeating them 5-0 before a crowd of 14,648 at the Boston Garden.
The Bruins peppered the Seals' goal with 39 shots which resulted in five goals by five different Bruins. Phil Esposito, Don Marcotte, and Bobby Schmautz each picked up a goal and an assist.
Gilles Gilbert had an easy time of it, facing only 16 shots in recording the shutout.
