Those so favored by the mailman's wheel of fortune to get tickets to last Monday's triumph of Bob Dylan and The Band have probably imbibed more than a week's fair share of music. That's too bad, since a few concerts this weekend--all quite different--promise to be excellent.

CHICK COREA--I was introduced to my first Corea album by some musician friends in Maine who rushed out last year to buy it after he gave what they called a "near-flawless" concert at Bowdoin College. Apparently, he is steadily gaining momentum, winning more and more fans for his intricate brand of light, tight jazz. Corea and Return to Forever will play Friday night a Sanders Theater.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC--Peter Johnson's guests will be Cliff Haslan and Nick Appolonio, fine singers of traditional English and American music. As an added attraction, Appolonio plays dance music on his dulcimer, and the music will be followed by a part for all.

JOHN LEE HOOKER WITH BROWNIE McGHEE & SONNY TERRY--Those who like their blues pure, tough, and raw should make it over to the new Joe's Place in Inman Square on Sunday night. Hooker, McGhee and Terry--three blues performers famous for just those qualities--will be playing two shows. --P.M.S.

CHICK COREA & RETURN TO FOREVER--Fri. Jan. 18 at Sanders Theater, 8:30 p.m., $3.50.

HASLAN AND APPOLONIO--Sat. Jan. 19 at St. Paul's School, 8 p.m. $2.

HOOKER WITH McGHEE & TERRY--Sun. Jan. 20 at Joe's Place, Inman Square, 8 and 11 p.m., $3 each show.
