Off Campus Fees

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard students have lived with the greediness of their University for a long time. Money grubbing is something that we've gotten used to and come to expect. But enough is enough. Harvard's demand that students who cannot get University housing pay an "off-campus living fee" is clearly unfair and intolerable, especially in these days of housing shortage.

While Harvard's need to generate income for itself is understandable, there is no way for the Administration to justify a charge of $295 to students who can't find University accommodations because of Harvard's short-sightedness in formulating its own housing plans. Harvard must stop charging this fee to students who live off-campus involuntarily.

To have to forego the convenience of on-campus living against one's will is bad enough; to make one pay for the inconvenience is miserly and cruel.
