To the Editors of The Crimson:
Given the location of the Grolier (not Grollier), approximately 100 feet from The Crimson's front door or, to use the vernacular, under its very nose, it seems unfortunate that The Crimson could not have (1) known how to spell the name; or (b) looked out the window; or (c) assured itself that its copy editors and proofreaders know their jobs.
There was a time when The Crimson was among the most literate of publications coming out of Harvard Square; the quality of its writing and reporting was remarkable. This egregious and gratuitous error merely confirms the suspicion that things at The Crimson are not what they used to be.
I suggest also that you accord Mr. Cairnie the courtesy of identifying his Harvard affiliation. Joan B. Pinck '50
