Bobby Riggs demolished Margaret Smith Court yesterday with an assortment of lobs, drop shots, chops and marshmallow drives. Riggs started the day by handing Court a bouquet of red roses to "soften her up," and finished things off by challenging other women players, especially Billie Jean King. Riggs's original challenge--designed to prove the superiority of male tennis players--was directed to King.
