A gamey Radcliffe tennis squad bouncing back into Ivy league competition today in what promises to be a tooth-and-nail match against Yale.
"No doubt Yale is good, but they're beatable," said Captain Meg Morgan. "Our doubles teams should give them a particularly hard time."
Morgan said that the beating they took at Princeton last week was no indication of the womens' ability. "Princeton is just a super team, but Yale is definitely in our league," she said.
Jill Robertson said that coach John McCarthy has done a great deal to prepare his team for the match. "John has given us what we needed most--organization, confidence, and spirit."
McCarthy, who coached the Radcliffe basketball team this past winter, joined the racquetwomen two weeks ago. Harvard Coach Jack Barnaby was coaching the team in his spare time.
