Ad Hoc Committee Writes New Guide To Local Projects

The Projects Network Office (PNO), an ad hoc committee of administrators, faculty and students, will today begin to distribute its third "Guide," a publication that describes on-going research projects and activities in the Harvard community.

The guide lists over 100 projects submitted by faculty and students. The list includes projects ranging from the study of nutrition in Thailand and Tunisia to a description of the Crimson Key Society.

Some of the announcements request volunteer or paid assistance while others merely describe the activities that come under a certain program.

Holly A. McLellan '71, the co-ordinator of the PNO, said yesterday that the group originally was formed "to encourage inter-faculty collaboration."

The Ford Foundation funded the first guide which was published during the Fall of 1971. The PNO now publishes with the support of the University on what McClellan termed a "bare-bones budget."
