President Horner Opens Office Door

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President Horner has begun holding open office hours twice weekly to increase her availability to students and staff members.

Anyone wishing to speak to Horner without first making an appointment can now find her from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fay House and from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at University Hall.

"This gives students an opportunity to drop in and ask a question for five or ten minutes at a time, not to discuss major problems," Niki Janus, assistant to the president for special projects, explained yesterday.

Horner said yesterday the she decided to hold open office hours because last year she felt out of touch with students.

"It's silly to have to make an appointment for a brief question," she added.
