CAMPUS SECURITY

To the Editors of The Crimson:

Yesterday's (Jan. 18) artists on security is an attempt to frame us when the University is at fault. Harvard's reputation is seriously at stake when it is unable to protest the property and well-being of its students.

The fast is that our suite, which is always loched, was broken into while we were asleep. We were virtually powerless to do anything to prevent the ensuing situation.

We blame the "Mather armed robbery" on the refusal of the University to take adequate security precautions in Mather House. The four outside doors should be locked at all times, and there should be an armed cop on the Mather promises from 1 to 8 in the morning to prevent further occurences from taking place.

The University is to blame for this incident. It is up to responsible officials like Stephen SJ. Hall to accept the responsibility and take immediate steps to prevent further such incidents from taking place. John Alexander '74   Joel Davidson '74   Ernest Drown '75
