NEW YORK--Police Monday questioned "known associates and connections" of Thomas "Tommy Ryan" Eboli, reputed Mafia chieftan, who was slain Sunday in New York's 15th gangland style execution of the year.
A police spokesman included Carlo Gambino, "boss of all bosses" of organized crime in the New York area, in the list of underworld figures to be questioned in the slaying of Eboli, found early Sunday morning in Brooklyn's Crown Heights district.
