HYANNIS PORT--Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), on his way to lunch aboard his family's yacht yesterday, said he had no plans to go to the Democratic Convention at Miami Beach.
He said, however, that he would to see Miami "if the nominee wanted to see me." He reiterated his earlier stance that he will not be a candidate for "any national office this year."
Kennedy said he expects to work for the election of the Democratic candidate no matter who it is. During the first days of the convention, Kennedy is staying at his summer home on Squaw Island.
