The varsity lacrosse team, confident after Saturday's 20-0 victory over Rhode Island, will strive for its 12th consecutive Cambridge City Championship title this afternoon when it meets MIT on the Business School Field at 4 p.m.
Although the Engineers have taken their last four games easily, they are a weak team with a 5-6 record.
MIT's only strength lies in attack. High-scorer Steve Cochi has collected 19 goals and 28 assists so far this season, boosting his career scoring total to 168 points. Last year Cochi was a Little All-American in the Northeast Division League.

The Engineers lack talent on defense, however. Led by three veteran starters--Mike Oakes. Dick Galik and John Lane--the defense has allowed 133 goals in 11 games.
Freshman Gary Braun, a former attackman, guards the MIT goal as a replacement for co-captain Jerry Horten, who tore a knee ligament early in the season.
Braun faces an improved Crimson attack led by junior John Hagerty, who had five goals and six assists Saturday to up his team-leading point total to 29.
Joe Walker is the probable starter in the goal, and Crimson defensemen Steve Whitman, Rob Barber and John Taliaferro will try to stifle Cochi and the rest of the MIT attack.
Harvard currently holds a 2-7 record, having won an 8-4 victory over Williams, which trounced MIT, 14-6. Last season the Crimson crushed the Engineers, 25-4.
