Golfers Massacre Trinity and MIT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard's golf team romped to a ridiculously easy victory over Trinity and MIT Friday, ending its seasons with a 9-5 record.

In a complicated scoring system awarding points to the victors of matches between individual members of each team, the Crimson beat MIT by 20-1 and Trinity by an even more overwhelming 20 1/2-1/2.

Bill Saletich, who saw little action this season, led the field with a 77 for the per 70 Hartford, Conn. Keney Park course.

Quinn Smith was one stroke back, followed by Andy Marks, John Stoviak, and captain Skip Kisiner at 79. Skip Barry and All-Ivy selection Terry Wyane completed the Crimson squad.

"Now that the season's over, we'll probably have a few intersquad matches and get drunk a lot," Wyane said last night.
