The Crimson freshman tennis team shut out Dartmouth, 40, Saturday on the Soldiers' Field Courts.

Number-one man Chip Baird battered Tom Meigs of Dartmouth, 6-1, 6-0, while teammate Charley Krusen crushed Dan Magee. 6-0, 6-4, for a quick Yardling lead.

Hockey player Hugh Hyde rallied for a victory over Scott Elliff, winning one set easily, 6-1, and squeezing by the Dartmouth player in the second, 7-1, in the first set, and won the second, 6-0.

Sandy Wilson continued the Crimson's winning streak, overcoming Jim Delanes with a score of 6-2, 7-5, and Tom Daniels mauled Jim Getner, 6-4, 6-1.

The freshman doubles teams proved superior as well against the Dartmouth forces. Exhibiting some excellent teamwork. Baird and Hyde won over Meigs and Eulich in a gruelling game, with a final score of 6-1, 7-5.

McDonald and Griffing smashed their way unrelentingly to a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Elliff and Meigs.
