Radcliffe House Prefers Women

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The North House Committee, in a meeting last night, passed a motion which will give women in the house preference over men for next year's rooming.

A resolution passed by the committee stated that "the motion was passed by a sizable majority of both men and women with the spirit of maintaining Radcliffe, and specifically North House, as a place where women should want to live."

The Committee's action assures "most females, and by February all, that they will have single rooms next year."

The resolution defended the committee's action against possible charges that it was undemocratic by stating that "democracy never lived at Harvard, certainly not for women--a 4:1 ratio attests to that."
