Two black groups will hold a rally today at noon in front of Memorial Church to continue their protest of the University's investment in the Gulf Oil Company. The rally is co-sponsored by the Pan-African Liberation Committee (PALC) and Harvard Afro.
PALC is demanding that Harvard sell its 680,000 shares of Gulf stock, make a public statement of the reasons for the divestiture, and "use the money from the sale in correcting past injustices caused by Harvard in the Cambridge community."
Chris Entete, a native South African and Divinity School student, will speak for PALC at the rally, Clement Cann '74, one of the organizers, said yesterday that the podium would be opened to other groups within the University that support PALC's position.

PALC organizers expect a large turnout at the protest. "We hope to attract people boycotting classes in support of the teaching fellows' strike." Cann said.
