Senator Vance Hartke (D.-Ind.) announced yesterday that he was withdrawing from the race for the Democratic presidential nomination He endorsed the candidacy of Senator Hubert H. Humphrey (D.-Minn.).
Speaking in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Hartke said he would not contest any more primaries, but would work for Humphrey.
