WORCESTER--Kenneth M. O'Brien '73 last night captured a decisive victory over Lionel Hebert in the race for the State Representative's sent for the Fifth District of Worcester.

The district also includes the towns of Southbridge and Sturbridge.

O'Brien beat Hebert, a 58-year-old member of the Board of Selectmen of Southbridge, by 2453 votes. Observers last night called the result an "over-whelming victory" for the 21-year-old Harvard senior.

The victory will make O'Brien one of the youngest legislators in the state.
