Football Round-up: Miami Wins Again

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Pro football yielded few surprises yesterday as only two divisions saw a change in first place.

Aging quarterback Lenny Dawson fired three touchdown passes as the Kansas City Chiefs strode by the Oakland Raiders, 27-14. The win moved the Chiefs past Oakland into the lead of the American Conference West.

Three touchdown passes, this time by young quarterback Terry Bradshaw drove the Pittsburgh Pirates by the Cincinnati Bengals, 40 17, giving Pittsburgh sole possession of the AFC Central.

Unbeaten Miami stayed on top of the AFC East by overwhelming the Buffalo Bills, 30-17.
