Fists Flow as Box Jox Fall to Crime

By Herman Gnoor

In a contest marred by outbreaks of violence and gangland headhunting, the Crimson touch football team rallied for a 23-2 victory Saturday over Box Jox, a collection of demi-intelligent administration types and paid-off Hessian hatchetmen who earlier this year had boasted of capturing the football title of Cambridge.

The game was a delayed grudge match, and storm clouds of unleashed temper could be observed forming on the horizon as the two rival squads went through their pre-game paces.

However, Box Jox may have gone into the contest at a bit of a personnel disadvantage. The Administration was without the services of four rookie captains of bureaucracy, who were hired this season by the Corporation.

Unfortunately, the rookies' visas were only validated through October 7 (the date of the original Jox-Crime game which was rained out), and the State Department forced the players to return to their respective native lands. President Bok, however, said "they should be back come hoop time." The Jox were further handicapped when "Chucklin" Chuck Daly had to go along with the players to act as Community Interpreter for the emigrating team members.

Even without these players, the Jox were still blessed with a large variety of quasi-legit executives of questionable origin.

The Jox scored an early two points as administration flunkies Dave "King Pin" Davis and Stephen S. J. "Super Janitor" Hall rushed in quickly to literally squelch Crime QB Mike O'Rourke in his endzone. This uncalled-for tackling, when a simple touch would have sufficed, emptied both benches and started a full scale handthrowin' brawl which took the better part of the first half to sort out.

As a result, the Crime's Leo "The Tree" Wilking, and "Gentleman" Doug Schoen were ejected from the contest along with the Jox's Davis and Derek Bok for fighting. The Administration's Stephen "No-Nox or Low Lead, Sir" Farber was ejected for dumping a grocery sack of complimentary gasoline credit cards on O'Rourke's head after he was mauled. He argued the littering call to no avail and also refused to comment as to the source of the aforementioned lines of credit.

Retired from the game, Farber was forced to direct the halftime show of the "Credit" card section's salute to "The Accomplishments of Oil Refining Since the Broaze Age."

In the second half the Crime rolled to three touchdowns and a safety to put the blubbering Jox back in cold storage till next season.
