A breakthrough in low and moderate income housing along Memorial Drive came Wednesday when the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency announced plans for all $11 million, 295-unit apartment complex at 808 Memorial Drive.
The site, in--the heart of the Riverside community, borders an area that once was the center of student protest over Harvard development plans which excluded low-income housing. That protest was partly responsible for the takeover of University Hall in 1969.
