Water Polo Team Wins: Rally Tops Exeter, 19-8

Down 3-2 at the end of the first quarter to a surprisingly strong Exeter squad, the Harvard water polo team exploded for four quick goals before the half en route to a 19-8 win.

Crimson standouts Pete Kellogg and goalie Steve Forrester turned the game around for Harvard in the first half as the unexpectedly tough Exeter team started strongly but soon faded. "Exeter caught us with our trunks down, but the boys rallied, turned the contest around, and the final thrusts were ours," Harvard captain Mike Graff said.

An indication of how strong Exeter was was the fact that they had smashed Brown 36-14 last week. Pre-season polls had expected the Bruins to provide the strongest challenge to Harvard in the Crimson's quest for another New England League Championship.
